AFA's Wounded Airman Program
Did you catch the Airmen running the flags out during the Super Bowl in Houston earlier this month? SSgt August O’Neill (pictured right), an Air Force pararescueman and wounded warrior, was one of them! WAP provided O’Neill with a hand cycle early in his rehabilitation in 2013. O’Neill is one of the great success stories of a wounded Airman who was able to remain on Active Duty. O’Neill will deliver the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program flag during the opening ceremony of the 2017 Air Force Trials held at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.
